Privacy Policy
1.0 Introduction
1.1 We are aware that privacy of your personal information, and the
security of your transactions with us are of very high importance to you.
Entity Data has therefore implemented data protection policies with
respect to your privacy and security. Our privacy policy has been based
upon the Internet Industry of Australia's draft Privacy Code of Practice,
an internationally recognised privacy protection standard.
1.2 As part of our strong commitment to our customers privacy we are
happy to answer questions in relation to our privacy policy, customers can
email or call us for additional information.
1.3 We may make changes or additions to this policy on occasion.
Should we do so, we will update the policy on our web site. It is a
requirement that all our customers agree to abide by our Privacy
Policy as part of the terms and conditions of an account.
1.4 We do not assume responsibility for the privacy and security
practices of any other web sites which you may be able to access
through our site.
2.0 Customer Information
2.1 When you first sign up for an account with Entity Data we
will request information from you which we believe is necessary in
order to best provide you with your service and invoice you for the
service. Information such as your name, address, telephone number,
domain name, email & credit card information. We may also collect
additional information for both security and marketing efforts such
as age, gender, business type and how you found out about us.
2.2 Our systems may also record statistics of your web sites and
email, such as the amount of disk space currently in use by your
account and the amount of traffic utilisation per month. Our staff
may on occasion access your the files in your account either at your
request or for security reasons as determined by Entity Data.
2.3 Entity Data may have personal information on our servers due
to the fact that we host web sites for other organisations. Any
information that is submitted to or collected by these organisations
will be physically located on a Entity Data server. This
information, whether voluntarily provided or not, will not be used
or released by Entity Data intentionally, unless we are required by
law to release the information.
2.4 After terminating accounts with Entity Data we do not
guarantee that all customer information will be deleted, the
customer account may remain in a deactivated state in our billing
system for an unspecified period of time. Content from the customer
account may remain on our servers or backup tapes for an unspecified
period of time.
2.5 We will treat all information we collect from you as strictly
confidential. Entity Data will not distribute this information to
any unassociated third parties intentionally. We will not
reveal, disclose, sell, distribute, rent, license, share or pass
onto any third party (other than to those who are contracted or
supply services to Entity Data) any personal information that you
have provided, unless we are required to-do so by law.

3.0 Security
3.1 Entity Data has a high security environment for storing
customer information and is committed to protecting this information
from unauthorised access. Only our staff responsible for customer
accounts can access this information and even then only information
which they may require. Constant changes to the Internet and
technology mean that we cannot guarantee that data transmission will
be 100% secure, or safe from attack by unauthorised intruders.
3.2 We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) to ensure that data is
encrypted between our customers and our data entry points. When
signing up for an account with Entity Data your session will be
encrypted between your browser and our servers, preventing the
possibility that somebody may intercept the data in transit. We have
also adopted SSL security in the Utopia Expand control panel system.
